Airsoft shotguns are a lot of fun. You can buy them in a variety of styles and types. For example, you could choose a 12 gauge, pump action, spring, or sawed off style. They are modeled after real guns but they are toys that can be used by kids through adults. The shotguns are safe and use tiny plastic pellets as ammo. These pellets are loaded into the guns using a tube device that keeps them from spilling all over.

These pellets come in different colors and sizes depending on the Airsoft gun. Young boys play for hours with these Airsoft guns bringing cowboy and Indians to life and even more popular today than it was years ago with the boys is a great game of war. The great thing about the Airsoft shotguns and other variety of Airsoft guns are that you can shoot each other with these guns that carry very small pellets and at most will maybe sting a bit.

However, when using Airsoft guns, you should protect your eyes. In fact, you can find safety goggles or glasses where the guns are sold. Wearing eye protection ensures hours of safe play. Kids of all ages can have fun playing outdoors in the fresh air running from Indians or shooting at dinosaurs.

Most parents and grandparents remember those days fondly – when playtime meant being outside all day rather than cooped up in the house in front of a TV screen. Many afternoons were spent chasing each other with plastic guns playing cops and robbers, or sheriff and outlaws.

You can give your kids the same fun experience. Encourage them to play and run outside rather than playing video games all day. It will be healthier for them too, to get exercise and fresh air. Airsoft shotguns are more durable than most plastic toy guns and will stand up to tough wear and tear from young boys.

They are not expensive at all, no more than or even less than a computer game that keeps your kids sitting instead of exercising when they don’t even realize that they are because they are having fun while keeping in shape. All you need to protect is your eyes and a simple pair of plastic glasses or goggles does just that.

The pellets shot from an Airsoft shotgun cannot penetrate the skin but you can tell when you have been hit by one which makes an exciting game of shoot out at the OK Corral even more fun. There may be a slight sting, but the pellets don’t hurt.

Of course, adult supervision is always recommended when kids play with Airsoft shotguns. Children should be taught how to properly handle and use the gun to ensure everyone stays safe. This is a good time to teach kids about gun safety in general. Children should be taught not to shoot at birds, animals, or pets. Airsoft guns provide kids with an outlet for their creativity and energy while at the same time gives them a chance to develop responsibility.
