PostHeaderIcon Understanding How Propecia Hair Loss Prevention Therapies Can Make A Noticeable Difference

For a fact, Propecia hair loss therapies and preventive strategies aren’t the only substances available to help pattern baldness in men and women. People need to understand, first of all, that there is a good chance that most men and women will be forced to deal with at least some amount of alopecia, which is the medical term for what we usually call pattern baldness.

First of all, the main point to understand about alopecia — which is the formal name for male pattern baldness — is that the condition is mostly caused by the interaction in the scalp between hair follicles and certain hormones, most especially dihydrotestosterone, which is usually abbreviated DHT. The relationship between hormones and hair follicles is well documented.

It is the case that DHT sensitivity creates the most favorable conditions for androgenic alopecia, though it is also the case that there are sometimes other genetic or environmental factors that have a hand in the initiation and then ongoing maintenance of gradual loss of hair. Some studies show that intense aerobic exercise in people already healthy may contribute to the effect.

This may not be as strong a link as believed by some scientists, though. Other studies tend to show that the main reason behind alopecia is, in fact, sensitivity of the hair follicles to DHT. At any rate, men and women who happen to gaze into the mirror and see that their hair has started leaving their scalps need to know that there are certain natural substances that can help.

When discussing Propecia as a therapy to help prevent or reverse the effects of androgenic alopecia, women need to know that this particular medication is exclusive to men only. They shouldn’t really use it for even touch it. But they should also take heart in knowing that there are other forms of therapies that are just as effective for them as they are for men.

Women — as well as men — have available to them a number of treatment therapies that combine supplementation with herbs, vitamins and certain minerals along with the topical application of medication containing the FDA-approved drug Minoxidil. These therapies have been proven to be noticeably efficacious in helping the body to overcome the effects of androgenic alopecia or pattern baldness.

Propecia hair loss prevention supplements and therapies could actually help treat alopecia that is seen in men. For women, along with men, there are other substances that are just as — if not more — effective than products containing the commercially named drug Propecia. Women shouldn’t, at any rate, use Propecia as it is exclusive to men. However, women and men do have other options available to them.
